ALASKAN
1.  Fireweed

Purpled cluster thrust from limns

        --a parade an attentive throng--

rising away quick green mountain incline yields 

and fir fully erect 		(the hard last freeze)

         permits cars
         
a moose nods		fireweed by scent or sight
         (lumber toward)

his great mouth 
yank the stalk from unbroken 

ineluctable pull.
