Compose nearly satiated
by late and before it, the thinning
its magenta
the weeds' dense roots

withers, winter
the year's apex to freeze there clutch
the mud the mosquitoes

Almost satiated: amorphous swathes of
persist among fuller and at the marsh's edge
sunstruck and quiescent
practicing for

Cormorants atop (get this right)
