Warp Body

does the hole in your hand
seem to be disappearing
caught in the wrap

Beethoven was not furious
when he wrote this
but you are when you play it

outside of the music
the Appalachian is calm
Canadian as the bract
beneath the flower

you're just the one
and your brow is furrowed
beard too long
excited by home
inured to slivers
