BRAVE WORDS

for Metal Tim Henderson

[...a tribute to the simple indigenous folk melodies of my people]

1. Black Sabbath

Hurtful and injured wakes
dead fingers
chord vocals crushed
to encrypt
ancient and heartless comas
end the breath line.

Ether ore:
rare and distant
resorcerors.
Spiral architects
discounting rivets
to the hull of a chambered nautilus.

Sounding of
leviathan
bass meant
the minute hand of doom
turns on broken arms
length to apocalypse.
