Unwieldy Aphorism

Regarding the presence of beauty
is like reading
the mixed metaphors printed on
the card next to the recently vandalized
painting in the museum whose
ceiling lights are already blinking
rapidly on and off to warn you
that they are about to close, the
harried heads of the tourists
bobbing in and out of your view
transmuting that text into
a jagged poem of unending
description.
