beautiful you
more beautiful than rice
a steaming acre of rice
a glimmering swamp
                      spiked with rice
a thousand plates
full of burnt spicey green rice

more beautiful
than two years of knitting
                                               needles in the slanting light

more beautiful
than dirt brown satellite dishes
                                lined up on the ridge
                                                        in the wind
the wind slashing the seagulls
                                across the spit

more beautiful
than the gluttonous sea lion
stretched out on the blue bouy

more beautiful
plus belle meme la lumiere va blanc
the sliver of light
piercing the clouds
above Forbidden Plateau
